Stephanie is an Indigenous child welfare practice expert, Indigenous child wellbeing frameworks design specialist, policy analyst and practitioner in the field of Indigenous Child Welfare and is currently the Director of Jurisdiction with Carrier Sekani Family Services. In this role, Stephanie is responsible for the coordination of the Carrier Sekani Child and Family Well-being Law being drafted under the legal framework of the Federal Child Welfare Act (An Act respecting First Nations, Inuit and Métis children, youth and families). Their position functions as the coordinating lead for the Technical Drafting work and is responsible to oversee the comprehensive shift of service delivery from the current state into the future state under the new law. Managing future partnerships at coordination tables with Indigenous Services Canada and the Province, Stephanie is a senior manager responsible for service delivery implementation through jurisdiction for the member Nations of Carrier Sekani Family Services.
