Nadine Clopton became a Director on the Global NGO Executive Committee at just 21 years old, the youngest person to ever serve in this capacity. On the Committee, she is Chair of the Youth & Intergenerational Subcommittee. Nadine is an innovative change-maker determined to amplify the
voices of communities; ecosystems that are often excluded from decision-making bodies. She Co-Founded and Co-Authored the Global Youth Climate Action Declaration (GYCAD), a set of 77 key climate policy recommendations that were crafted through a consultative process with youth climate activists around the globe. She is currently leading the GYCAD Core Team's strategic development initiatives including the virtual Localizing Climate Justice Conference Series. For the past 6 years, she has served as the Youth Representative to the United Nations for the Australia-based NGO Caring & Living As Neighbours -- an NGO dedicated to catalyzing better health outcomes for children with noncommunicable diseases in resource-poor settings and in Indigenous communities. She is currently working on a film about climate change through a child’s eyes, exploring our need to collectively feel in order to heal the climate crisis.

In the spring of 2020, Nadine completed her Masters in Environmental Policy at Lehigh University as a Presidential Scholar, devoting both her studies; advocacy work to just, sustainable development. Outside of her advocacy efforts, Nadine is a classically trained opera singer, plays the ukulele, and loves spending time in nature.

Stepping boldly into leading with children and youth to create a better future for us all.
