Simran is a racialized settler from Ambala, Punjab in Northern India who has been settled on the stolen and occupied Coast Salish territories of the xwməθkwəy əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and Səlílwəta (Tsleil-Waututh) nations for 21 years. Her involvement in community work as a young woman of color continues to lead her to learn from a range of lived experiences - including her own - regarding social issues that impact the communities around her. She is interested in building her capacity in relation to process-based and & translation work to support folks to do what they do best! She also works as the Organizational Strategist & Operations Co-Lead at PeerNetBC. She is currently enrolled in SFU's Contemplative Inquiry & Approaches in Education MEd program under the Curriculum and Instruction Division.
