Marie is an independent international child rights consultant specialising in policy development, training, research, evaluation and advocacy. She has worked with children, NGOs, UNICEF and the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child on topics including child participation, child protection, children in the justice system, child rights education and the child rights approach. She has worked in over 30 countries and has produced a number of training manuals, practical toolkits and participatory research reports. She has a Masters degree in Human Rights and a Graduate Certificate in Arts for Change (working with children, young people and their families through creative arts and play).
