Chris Yeomans is the former Program Director at IICRD. Currently, he is the Program Director for the Canadian Federation of Municipalities International (FCMI) based in Ottawa.The focus of his work has been inter-sectoral systems building development, Conflict Transformation and program and protection evaluations within Aboriginal and complex community contexts and global programs. As an associate faculty member at Royal Roads University for the Master of Arts in Conflict Analysis and Management program, Chris has taught courses in M&E, peace-building, systems thinking and development. He has conducted over 700 hours of facilitation and group learning in the child rights and development, peace building and conflict analysis and transformation field in three languages, English, French and Spanish. He has also developed conflict resolution curriculum for publication and participatory evaluation and monitoring tools and methodologies for several international projects. Chris has superior communication skills across socio-economic groups and is highly adaptive to cultural and linguistic norms across professional sectors. He demonstrates a keen ability to adapt to the context and build on local strengths to create solutions in a participatory learner focused format. He has worked in sensitive conflict and post-conflict areas of the Americas and Southeast Asia and is keen to collaboratively work with children, communities and institutions in a challenging Afro-francophone environment affected by conflict.
