Kathleen works as an Instructor in the School of Humanitarian Studies at Royal Roads University in Canada. She has spent the last twenty years working within social and community services. She is passionate about social justice and social inclusion and in particular interested in helping to bridge the gap between practitioner experiential knowledge, academic theory and policy objectives across multiple disciplines. Kathleen's interests lean towards supporting children and young people to reach their full potential. Using a variety of research and evaluation methodologies, conflict transformation and community engagement processes, Kathleen has worked on projects that explore various perspectives issues related to child protection, homelessness, healthy early childhood development, environmental protection, family violence, youth justice, and international social work.
