Renee Lormé-Gulbrandsen: Having spent 14 years in administration and operations for non-profit and voluntary sector organizations, Renee has dedicated her career to supporting the day to day activities of the organizations’ core operations and has contributed to the strategic growth and administration of the organizations and their initiatives. While she is currently the Executive Director of Oak Bay Volunteer Services, Renee started her career with IICRD working in a variety of capacities - from programming to administration - and brings a historical lens to her role on the IICRD Board of Directors from her 8 years on staff.
Renee has a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with Distinction (concentration in Social Justice) and a minor in Psychology from the University of Victoria and holds a Certification in Non-profit and Voluntary Sector Management from Ryerson University. She is passionate about volunteering and has worked with local organizations including the Victoria Women’s Transition House, UVic’s Positive Space Network and Victoria Racquet Club Minor Hockey Association over the past 20 years. Originally from New York, Renee is blessed to call Victoria, BC her home, which she shares with her husband and sons.
