Meghan Miles is a 3rd year student pursuing a joint major in Development Studies and Women and Gender Studies at St. Francis Xavier University in Nova Scotia, Canada. Her studies have focused primarily on community-based development and gender diversity. She is passionate about engaging with youth to build meaningful connections and aims to apply what she has learnt in the classroom to the International Institute of Child Rights and Development.
Meghan has worked with many youth groups in the past and present including Big Brother Big Sister, the Tim Hortons Foundation Camps, and multiple daycares. These experiences have taught her the importance of building trust and listening to you with an open mind. After she completes her undergraduate degree, she has ambitions to obtain her Social Work degree. Meghan is looking forward to learning and helping build different projects with IICRD in 2020.
