Maggie Messer is a student at the University of Victoria, currently completing her final semester of a Sociology degree. She is excited to have the opportunity to work with the International Institute for Child Rights and Development through a community engaged learning placement.
Maggie has relevant experience working with a range of children and individuals with disabilities through volunteering with Special Olympics and Big Brothers Big Sisters, which have taught her the importance of building strong relationships within the community. Through this placement, Maggie hopes that she can apply the skills she has learned through her volunteer experience and educational background to make a positive impact in the lives of children in the community.
